The objective of the event is to teach participants how to prepare delectable Khmer cuisines, work together as a team, and use teamwork skills to assign responsibilities, carry out duties, and cook the meals within a set amount of time while having fun in a beautiful and meaningful place.

Activities

Teams are taught the techniques and recipes for making the world-famous Khmer food by skilled cooks and chefs in a real restaurant setting.
Participants learn how to gather the necessary ingredients, produce paste and sauces, cook each meal to absolute perfection, and then plate it. Each team must cooperate to learn how to duplicate the dish, plate it, and present it for evaluation by the experts.

Scoring Criteria

Teams are evaluated on their use of flavor, presentation, technique, cleanliness, timing and team spirit.

Program

Half Day – Chef Competition Team Building
-16:30 – Participants assembled in the hotel lobby and got picked up by our guide and coach to Pinak Pu Restaurant
-16:50 – Meets and Greets at the restaurant.
-17:00 – Introduction to Restaurant, Cooks, Chefs (Mengly, his Wife and Mother and staff)
-17:10 – Team making either randomly or pre-assigned by Compass team, 4 pax per team
-17:20 – Activity briefing of the 4 courses to be learnt and competed and also the cooking materials and ingrediencies
-17:50 – Start making the four dishes and plating – participants make the own strategies to make the dishes
-19:00 – Teams present their dishes for judging
-19:30 – Event debriefing, announce the winning Cooks and Chefs Team – Certificate and gift ceremony – free flow drinks
-19:50 – Family style set menu Dinner started to serve and continue of the free flow
-21.30 – End of the event and Dinner
-21:40 – Depart the restaurant and back to hotel
