On July 03, 2026, the Sofitel Phokeethra Ballroom in Siem Reap played host to a remarkable evening of cultural appreciation and musical brilliance. Organized as the official pre-event for the 2nd Angkor AEON Nature Park Tree Planting Ceremony, this Cambodia-Japan Cultural Exchange Event brought together 400 guests to celebrate heritage, sustainability, and international friendship.

Event Highlights: Education and Elegance

The evening was divided into two core segments, seamlessly blending academic insight with world-class entertainment:

• Lecture on Heritage and Cooperation: The event commenced with a profound lecture titled “Angkor Archaeological Park and Japan’s International Cooperation” delivered by Mr. Satoru Miwa, Researcher at the Sophia Asia Center for Research and Human Development. Mr. Miwa provided an in-depth look at the rich history of the Angkor monuments and the pivotal role of international collaboration in their conservation. He highlighted Sophia University’s extensive activities, including human resource development and the conservation of the Angkor Wat Western Causeway, while celebrating AEON’s legacy of tree-planting efforts in Cambodia that date back to 2002.
• Yuki Yasuda Concert: Following the educational segment, the stage transitioned into a breathtaking musical performance by Yuki Yasuda. The concert provided a moving and elegant soundtrack to the evening, setting a unifying tone ahead of the following day’s tree-planting activities at the Angkor AEON Nature Park.

• Professional Lighting Design: Our lighting engineers transformed the Sofitel ballroom using 400W Moving Heads, COB lights, and LED Bar Washes, all meticulously choreographed via a Tiger Touch Plus lighting console to match the mood of the performances.
• Premium Musical Instruments: A highlight of our logistical capability was sourcing and setting up a Kawai G5 Grand Piano (3 pedals). To capture the instrument’s true acoustic warmth, we employed a specialized microphone setup featuring AKG C214s and Sennheiser e608s.
• Uninterrupted Power & Support: We supplied a dedicated 75 KVA generator to guarantee seamless, uninterrupted power throughout the 10-hour setup and showtime. Our dedicated sound and lighting engineers remained on standby, ensuring every technical cue was hit perfectly.
